Privacy Notice
A plain-language guide to how Joey VT LLC handles information across its websites, apps, games, and tools.

This notice explains how Joey VT handles personal information on joeyvt.org and the Joey VT web apps, games, tools, and account features that link to it. Joey VT is operated by Joey VT LLC. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected].

1. Information We Handle
We handle information needed to run the feature you choose to use. Depending on the product, this can include:
- Account and session information: usernames, profile details, account identifiers, session tokens, sign-in and activity timestamps, memberships, progress, and trophies.
- Content you provide: study sets and answers, game names and chat or room activity, code submitted to Code Coach, short-link destinations, Wallet pass data and images, and videos or media you choose to upload.
- Connected-service information: information returned when you choose to connect a supported third-party service, such as Planning Center. We request only the access needed for that connection.
- Device and operational information: IP address, browser or device type, request timestamps and paths, security/rate-limit information, and error diagnostics.
- Feature-specific information: real-time game state, team or room membership, and information necessary to provide map, media, or AI-assisted features. Do not submit confidential, regulated, or sensitive information to experimental tools.
Joey VT does not offer Gmail read or send functionality through this public website. If a separate product begins using Google Workspace data, it will publish a product-specific notice before that processing begins.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide, secure, operate, and improve the feature you requested.
- Keep accounts, games, rooms, uploaded content, and progress available to the people entitled to use them.
- Generate requested AI-assisted outputs, such as explanations or feature content, where that feature is enabled.
- Prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, enforce these Terms, and comply with law.
We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We do not use customer content to build advertising profiles.
3. Sharing and Visibility
We share information only as needed to operate the service, including with:
- Other participants, organizers, or account holders when a feature is designed to show shared game, room, team, link, or media state.
- Infrastructure and security providers, including Cloudflare and hosting, storage, connection, and error-monitoring providers.
- Third-party services that you choose to connect, such as Planning Center, and providers needed for an enabled map, media, or AI feature.
- Authorities or others when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect users, the service, or the public.
4. Storage, Security, and Retention
Information is stored on systems used to operate Joey VT and protected with reasonable technical and operational measures. No internet service is perfectly secure.
- Account and Quizzr sessions normally expire after 90 days or earlier when you sign out or they are invalidated.
- Live-room and temporary gameplay data are retained only for the active experience; many rooms expire within hours or days.
- Temporary upload and processing files are removed when processing completes. User content retained in an account remains until you delete it, your account is removed, or it is no longer needed to operate the service.
- Operational and security logs are retained only for the period reasonably needed for reliability, security, dispute handling, and legal obligations.
5. Your Choices and Requests
You can update or remove content through the relevant product where that control is offered. You may also request access, correction, deletion, or information about your data by emailing [email protected]. We may verify a request before acting on it and will respond as required by applicable law.
California residents may have additional rights under California privacy law when it applies. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals because Joey VT does not use them for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. Children
Joey VT services are not directed to children under 13. Do not provide personal information if you are under 13. If we learn that we collected a child’s personal information without required consent, we will delete it. Organizers using a Joey VT service with minors are responsible for obtaining any required permissions and supervising participation.
7. International Users
Joey VT is operated in the United States. If you use the services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other places where our service providers operate.
8. Changes and Contact
We will update this page and its date when this notice changes. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice through the relevant service when practicable.
