LIVE Planning Center is an independent Apple Watch companion created by Joey VT LLC. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Planning Center. This policy applies to the LIVE Planning Center watchOS app and the limited secure sign-in service at api.joeyvt.org.

In short

LIVE Planning Center has no advertising, tracking SDKs, analytics SDKs, or user accounts of its own. Your Planning Center access token and connected-church information are stored in the Apple Keychain on your watch. Joey VT does not sell your information.

1. Information the App Handles

When you choose to connect Planning Center, the app handles only information needed to provide the selected services and LIVE timing experience:

  • Connection credentials: a Planning Center OAuth access token, refresh token, expiration information, and connection identifier.
  • Connected-account information: your Planning Center display name, email address when returned by Planning Center, organization or church name and identifier, and the church connection you choose as active.
  • Services information: service types, upcoming plans, service times, plan items, and Services LIVE timing or status information that your Planning Center permissions allow the app to retrieve.
  • App preferences: the selected church and service-related choices needed to restore the app state and refresh its complication.
  • Limited operational data: temporary OAuth state and security values used to complete sign-in, plus standard server request logs such as IP address, timestamp, and error information.

2. How Information Is Used

  • Open a secure OAuth sign-in with Planning Center and connect the account you authorize.
  • Let you choose among multiple connected churches and show the active church's Planning Center Services data.
  • Display plans, service details, and LIVE timing on the watch and in its complication.
  • Refresh a Planning Center token when authorized by you, protect the sign-in process, diagnose errors, and keep the service reliable.

LIVE Planning Center does not use this information for advertising, data brokerage, profiling, or cross-app tracking.

3. Where Information Is Stored

Planning Center credentials and connected-church records are stored locally in the Apple Keychain on your Apple Watch. Service information is fetched from Planning Center to display it in the app and may be held temporarily on the device while the app is in use.

Joey VT operates a small sign-in relay solely to complete OAuth securely. During sign-in it temporarily stores a PKCE state and verifier for up to 10 minutes. After Planning Center returns a token, the relay holds it in memory only long enough—up to 60 seconds—for the same watch to complete a one-time, cryptographically bound handoff. The relay does not create a Joey VT user profile or retain Planning Center access or refresh tokens after that handoff expires or is used.

4. Sharing

The app communicates with Planning Center to provide the services you request. Planning Center's handling of its own service data is governed by its policies. Joey VT may also use hosting, security, and network providers to operate the secure sign-in relay and protect it from abuse.

Joey VT does not sell, rent, or share Planning Center information for marketing or advertising.

5. Your Choices and Deletion

  • You can choose which Planning Center account or church to connect and which connected church is active.
  • Use Settings → Sign Out in LIVE Planning Center to remove saved connections and credentials from the app's Keychain storage.
  • You can revoke the app's access through your Planning Center account or contact Planning Center for requests concerning data it maintains.
  • You may contact Joey VT at [email protected] for questions or a request concerning the limited Joey VT relay data.

6. Security

The app uses HTTPS for network connections. The OAuth flow uses PKCE, state validation, and a one-time handoff code bound to the initiating watch, rather than placing Planning Center tokens in a callback URL. No system is completely secure, but Joey VT uses reasonable measures to protect this connection.

7. Children and Changes

LIVE Planning Center is not directed to children under 13. This policy may be updated when the app or its data practices materially change; the effective date above will be updated at that time.
